2021-22

In the A.Y. 2021-22, team DJS Antariksh showed its diversity in terms of talent and perseverance by participating in international competitions across domains that were slightly different and challenging for the team. Despite all the difficulties faced in working remotely and ensuring effective coordination within the team, it stayed focused on performing brilliantly at the various competitions that it took part in.

COMPETITIONS:

  1. International Planetary Aerial Systems Challenge (IPASC) 2021:

IPASC 2021, organized by the Mars Society South Asia, was aimed to encourage students to design an astronaut-assistive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle which shall be fully equipped and mission ready for Operation on Mars. The primary objective of this challenge was to design a UAV that can perform certain functions and tasks to assist astronauts and carry out certain analyses of terrain while airborne on the Red Planet. The team successfully secured the 2nd Position Worldwide and the 1st Position throughout Asia at IPASC 2021.

  • European Rover Challenge (ERC) 2021:

ERC 2021 was conducted from 10th to 12th September 2021 at Kielce University, Poland, in the form of two editions, remote and onsite. The team qualified for both editions but due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, they could only actively participate in the remote edition.

The team secured an overall 1st Rank Worldwide in the remote edition and also bagged 2 out of the 4 Special Category AwardsBest Science Award and Best Navigation Award. This was indeed a very proud moment, not just for the college but for the entire country because team DJS Antariksh was the first-ever Asian team to have won the competition. It marked the beginning of a journey that involved experience, dedication, and commitment, while understanding the true meaning of teamwork and collaboration.

The team further strives to push their boundaries and widen their horizons to create a greater impact in the field of space exploration.
