2022-23

In the calendar year 2022, the team has taken huge strides forward from readying the rover for on-site competitions to re-establishing the dominance asserted by the team in remote competitions. The team also diversified the competitions it takes part in, and debuted in a big competition. All this was done while staying true to the theme and vision of the team, deciphering the unimaginable was no longer a phrase, it was a process. The cohesion and drive of the team have ensured that the team can successfully take part in two major competitions in a single year, opening the doors for newer and better opportunities.

DJS Antariksh took part in the European Rover Challenge 2022 (Remote) and became the first team to be crowned “Champions of ERC” two years in a row. It was a huge milestone and gave further confidence to the team for upcoming competitions. The team’s stronghold on ERC remains and it aims not to let the pace down. Further, it was the debut year of taking part in the International Rover Design Challenge, which was nothing short of successful, and the team achieved a very respectable 3rd place finish. A podium on the debut participation was cut short in celebrations because very soon, DJS Antariksh qualified for its first-ever On-Site competition, which was International Rover Challenge 2023. It will take place in January ‘23 and the team is currently working for a great finish there.
